Fairmont Heritage Place – At Natures Door, one of Whistler’s more luxurious a communities offering three to four bedroom homes and year-round access to British Columbia’s most spectacular outdoor experiences, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team long term.

A year-round position offering  $32 per hour to start plus great perks including discounted hotel stays at global hotels and more!

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • 2+ years experience in a maintenance role is preferred.
  • Experience with carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and other related experience.
  • Highly responsible and reliable; able to work well independently, takes initiative and gets the job done.
  • Experience maintaining pool and spa.
  • BC drivers license in good standing.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service.
  • Manage day to day activities and perform ongoing maintenance, repair and preventative maintenance ensuring standards are met.
  • Inspect and maintain facilities, grounds, infrastructure and equipment.
  • Maintain all buildings, performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, masonry and other related maintenance.
  • Manage preventative maintenance program for residences, public areas and safety systems.
  • Supervise maintenance contractors on site.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records.
  • Implement all safety programs, fire safety plan, building evacuation plan, disaster recovery plan, etc.
  • Monitor energy and water management programs providing input and recording results.
  • Direct mechanical snow removal contractors and perform manual snow. removal to ensure parking lots, driveways and walkways are kept safe and clear of snow.
  • Oversee pool and spa maintenance, ensuring that they meet maintenance and safety requirements.
  • Conduct home and shop inventories to manage inventory to requirements. Procure and maintain inventory required according to purchasing policies.
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Follow all safety polices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
